Forage Master is a management tool to aid in rapid fermentation and save dry matter losses in properly ensiled forages. Good management practices such as cutting at proper stage of maturity and ensiling at adequate moisture levels are very important.

Good Management Practices
- Chop at desired state of maturity.
- Ensile below 80% and above 60% moisture.
- The dryer the crop the finer the chop: 3/8″ to 5/8″.
- Keep knife sharp. Dull knife ruptures plant cells causing “running.”
- Apply Forage Master as evenly as possible.
- Put into silo immediately. Dying cells use up oxygen and delay causes heating and cells to rupture.
- Fill fast: Exclude air by packing trench silos firmly.
- Cover trench silos with plastic sheet, secure tightly.
- Allow 4-5 days for fermentation before feeding.
- Feed a balanced ration.
